The long awaited Batch 17 is here. The cask selection made by Master blender Rachel Barrie truly celebrates the distillery’s house style for which the brand is known for worldwide.
Each whisky is bottled without chill filtration or added colour and at cask strength allowing each cask to freely show its own unique flavours and qualities.
14 different casks have been selected for this year’s release with 7 casks being made available within Europe and the other 7 being available across Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
We have been fortunate enough to get hold of 3 of the European releases and 5 of the releases produced for further afield.
This 26 Year Old is one of the European releases from a Oloroso Sherry Butt.
Nose - Heady and intensely aromatic with powerful complexity. Brandy snaps, fruitcake, orange marmalade and amontillado combine with cherry cake and rum.
Palate - Generous and bold taste of fruitcake, loaded with cherry, date and vine fruit.
Finish - Lingering symphony of Oloroso sherry, brandy and armagnac.
