The Auchentoshan Three Wood is matured in three different casks. It starts in an American Bourbon cask, before maturing further in a Spanish Oloroso Sherry, and finally in Pedro Ximenez Sherry Casks.
The triple maturation of this fine, award-winning whisky gives it a rich and complex character, with flavours of toffee and sherry prominent on the palate.
Auchentoshan have been making fine whiskies since 1823, and have become known for a trademark clean and complex character found in every bottle of every expression.
Nose: armagnac and cognac, prunes, and treacle
Palate: complex and long-lasting, with raisins, cherries and chocolate. European oak to the fore.
Finish: a sophisticated complex flavour, with maple syrup, dark fruits and apples.
